TIPS FOR A BETTER HEALING EXPERIENCE

Preparing for a Reiki session can feel overwhelming, especially if you’re new to energy healing, experience anxiety, or aren’t sure what to expect.
I’ve provided some practical tips to help you feel comfortable, relaxed, and ready … so you can get the most out of your session, no matter your personality or past experiences.
There’s no 'right' way to experience Reiki, but a little preparation can make a big difference.
Please read the instructions below, and contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR A REIKI SESSION
Being prepared for your Reiki session will enhance the healing capabilities and ensure that you are able to fully embrace the energy received.
Be open to accepting healing energy.
While Reiki will benefit you regardless of your beliefs, it is always helpful to experience it with an open mind and heart.
Communicate clearly and openly. Please try to be open and clear about your needs and expectations.
Reiki is not a replacement for medical treatment, and should be used as an additional tool for improving health and well-being.
BEFORE INSTRUCTIONS
For best results, it is highly recommended to book on a day when you can relax afterward in order to process and integrate the healing received.
On the day of your appointment, refrain from using any scented products, such as perfume or cologne, deodorant, lotion, or hair care products. Many of my clients are highly sensitive with allergies to fragrances, and Jen’s Zen Den is a perfume-free zone.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that helps you feel at ease.
Eat a light meal - the digestive system is sensitive to energy shifts. Help yourself relax by reducing the chances of an upset stomach.
Avoid caffeine and sugar if they make you feel jittery or over-stimulated - the goal is relaxation.
Drink adequate water to remain hydrated.
Arrive in a calm state by giving yourself extra time to get through traffic. Feeling rushed or flustered can make it harder to relax.
Take time before to meditate and set your intentions.
Practice relaxation techniques - deep breathing or light stretching can help lower nervous energy before you arrive.
Avoid scheduling back-to-back commitments. Plan a buffer window to prepare before your session.
Be grateful - today, you are taking steps to heal yourself.
There’s nothing special you need to do, just focus on being comfortable and open to the experience.
